Supporting "Good End-of-Life Care at Home": Benefiting Both Patients and National Health Insurance Financially Supporting "Good End-of-Life Care at Home": Benefiting Both Patients and National Health Insurance Financially

Recently, I participated in a seminar hosted by Dr. Bi, where I deeply realized the negative impact of excessive medical treatment on our national health insurance system. According to the statistics from the National Health Insurance Administration, out of the annual medical expenses of up to 800 billion, a staggering 200 billion is spent on ineffective medical treatments, indicating an urgent need for change.

If all terminally ill patients with severe conditions continue to receive excessive medical treatment, it not only causes suffering for the patients themselves but also poses a serious financial burden on our national health insurance system. With the increase in the number of deaths each year, medical expenses also increase accordingly, posing a severe challenge to our national health insurance finances.

Therefore, we should support good end-of-life care at home, providing patients with a more dignified choice while reducing the burden on the healthcare system, thus helping to maintain the long-term stability of our national health insurance. Good end-of-life care at home is not only about respecting patients but also about protecting our national health insurance system, which is an issue that everyone should pay attention to.

Let us work together to support good end-of-life care at home and bring a stable future to our society's national health insurance system.
